Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) Senior Undergraduate Scholarships
Each year the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) awards undergraduate scholarships of up to $10,000 to senior undergraduates planning to pursue careers related to dam safety.  Recipients are U.S. citizens enrolled in an accredited program of civil engineering or a related field and planning careers in hydraulics, hydrology or geotechnical disciplines, or in another discipline related to the design, construction and operation of dams.  ASDSO sets a March deadline for receipt of completed applications.  Winners are announced in June.  For more information, email info@damsafety.org; or call 859-257-5140.

The University of Maine Microelectronics Scholarship Consortium
The University of Maine Microelectronics Scholarship Consortium will provide merit-based scholarships and co-op work experience to promising first-year, sophomore, junior, and senior students interested in microelectronics/semiconductor industry and majoring in either engineering or science at the University of Maine. For the 2009-2010 academic year, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will be eligible for a $7,500 academic scholarship; First-year students entering the University of Maine are eligible for a $1,500 academic scholarship. Students must demonstrate academic promise and the potential to become active members of the microelectronics/semiconductor industry through work experience, course selection, and participation in professional organizations.

ASCO Numatics Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarships
ASCO Numatics will award two, $5,000 merit-based scholarships to exceptional U.S. undergraduate and graduate engineering students who are pursuing careers in industrial automation-related disciplines (manufacturing and processing engineering). Applicants must have completed their sophomore year in a bachelor s degree program or be enrolled in a graduate program at the time of application.

The Wire Reinforcement Institute
The Wire Reinforcement Institute (WRI) Education Foundation was formed for the specific purpose of funding and awarding academic scholarships to qualified high school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate level students intending to or presently pursuing four year or graduate level degrees in structural and/or civil engineering at accredited four year universities or colleges. Scholarships, awarded will not exceed one year and will be awarded for a specified academic year only. Awarded scholarship funds, ranging up to $10,000, will be paid by the WRI directly to the university or college designated by the recipient.

Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) Foundation
The AIST Foundation seeks to attract young technology- oriented professionals to the industry by promoting the high-tech, diverse and well-paying nature of careers in modern steelmaking. Innovative ideas must come from the new generation of students. Accordingly, the Foundation awards college scholarships to provide these students a helping hand.

Haestad Methods Engineering Scholarship Program
established to assist engineering students from around the world in pursuing an education in engineering in the United States. Up to six scholarships will be awarded annually. Students enrolled in a United States university or college may apply for the scholarship as an individual or as a team.

Foundation for Water and Energy Education: Energize Our Future College Scholarships
College scholarships for five high school students in the northwestern United States who write the best essays about the Northwest's energy future.

Scholarships Available for HVACR Technical Programs - The Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation is please to announce the availability of 20 scholarships (valued at $2,000.00 each) for the 2006 - 2007 academic year. The Rees foundation's mission is to assist with the recruitment and competency of future Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) technicians by awarding scholarships to qualified students who are enrolled, or plan to enroll, in an institutionally accredited school. Eligible students are those who are United States citizens, nationals or resident aliens and plan to attend an HVACR training program in preparation for a career in either residential air-conditioning or heating, light commercial air-conditioning and heating, or commercial refrigeration as an entry level technician.
