I am also the producer of three engineering career related DVDs and I give workshops and presentations on engineering careers. 2012 - Chosen as one of the Nifty Fifty by the The USA Science & Engineering Festival (USASEF www.usasciencefestival.com), the largest celebration of science and engineering in the US. The Nifty Fifty (times 2) are the one hundred most inspiring science/engineering professionals who will help re-invigorate the interest of our young people.

2006 - Winner of the 2006 Boston Society of Civil Engineers Clemens Herschel Award. The Clemens Herschel Award recognizes those individuals who have published papers, not necessarily published in the BSCES Journal, that have been useful, commendable, and worthy of grateful acknowledgment.

2005 - Winner of the 2005 Norm Augustine Award! The Norm Augustine award is given to an engineer who has demonstrated the capacity for communicating the excitement and wonder of engineering.

2004 - Winner of the 2004 American Society for Engineering Education's Engineering Dean Council's Award for the Promotion of Engineering Education and Careers.
