Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

The Women in Engineering Program (WEP) at UT-Austin announces 'Introduce a Girl
to Engineering Day' which will take place on Saturday, February 26, 2005 from
2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on the UT Austin campus. Introduce a Girl to Engineering
Day is celebrated across the United States on Thursday of National Engineers
Week (www.eweek.org) each year.
Girls who would like to: learn about engineering; meet engineering students,
professors, and engineers from industry; and have fun doing hands-on, exciting
engineering activities should attend Girl Day!
Come to UT's campus for an afternoon of engineering fun. See what it's like to
be an engineer!
This event is free but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Spend an Engineering Day

For the
most comprehensive look at the programs available in the Colleges of
Engineering and Earth and Mineral Sciences, please join us for the Engineering
Open House. Penn State offers degrees in 17 engineering majors at University
Park, as well as associate and baccalaureate degrees in engineering
technology at the Commonwealth Campuses and a variety of specialized
and cross-disciplinary minors. The days events are designed so
that you can learn about these programs and visit with faculty and students
in any departments you wish, whenever you wish, between the hours of
8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. In addition, there are tour buses and a few
events which will run on a fixed schedule.

9th Annual Design Contest
Feb 22, 2003 and March 8, 2003
The University of Southern Colorado hosts an annual design contest that is
held close to Engineers Week. We typically have over 400 middle and high school students from throughout the state of Colorado participate in the final event held at the local mall.
The preliminary event will held on the University campus on Saturday,
February 22, and the finals will be held at the Pueblo Mall on Saturday,
March 8.

The University of the Pacific will host a free open house called,
"Profile Day" on Saturday, April 3rd. This day will include formal
presentations on the University as well as the individual schools,
including the "School of Engineering and Computer Science." Numerous
engineering professors will also offer fun lab demonstrations that the
entire family would enjoy seeing.
